Anne Hathaway hints working on Princess Diaries 3: 'We are in good...'

Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway recently hinted at the possibility of a Princess Diaries sequel. In a recent interview, the actress shared, "We’re in a good place," while hesitating to divulge more details about the sequel.
"That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place," she said during an interview with V Magazine.
Hathaway was first seen as Mia Thermopolis in the original Princess Diaries movie in 2001. She reprised her role in the 2004 sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, alongside Julie Andrews, who played her grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi, in both films.

Julie Andrews, however, seemed less enthusiastic about the prospect of a third movie in a recent interview with Today.com.
"It’s quite a long time now since the two Diaries were done, and I’m not sure, but sometimes it’s best to leave a good thing alone," Andrews said. "I don’t like it when people milk and milk and milk the subject, you know, ’til it’s dead."

Andrews mentioned that there were discussions about a third film in the past but indicated that the project may have been shelved. "There was dialogue about it," Andrews explained. "But nothing had been realised. And I think I may be wrong, but I think it’s been shelved now. I can’t be sure."
Despite her reservations, Andrews did express a willingness to return to the franchise if the opportunity arose. "I’d be very happy if we did do another one," she said. "But I don’t expect to."
