
Shortly after Rohit Sharma scored a ton in just 35 balls, India went ahead andsurpassed its highest T20 score by hammering 253 runs in 19 oversin the second Twenty20 International in Indore today.
India posted a mammoth 260 runsfor 5 wicketsagainst Sri Lanka.
Rohit Sharma smashed the joint fastest century, in 35 balls, en route to his 43-ball 118, while KL Rahul blasted 89 off 49 balls to anchor the innings. This is the joint second highest total in T20s,a record previously achieved by South African cricketer David Miller.
