BGT: Brett Lee warns struggling Rohit ahead of crucial series, says 'Australian fast bowlers will attack him'

Aussie legend Brett Lee has warned struggling India skipper Rohit Sharma that he would be attacked by the Australian bowlers as India gets ready for the upcoming Test series Down Under. The five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be crucial for India as they target a place in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) in June 2025. While Rohit’s availability for the opening Test match in Perth is in doubt due to paternity leave, it will be interesting to see how he tackles Aussie bowlers during the BGT.

Lee warns Rohit

“When you have a couple of bad runs back-to-back, that's when the pressure could set in. I guess the thing now is someone like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma just have to go back to the drawing board. Work on that technique, freshen up, get away from cricket as much as they can and then hit the ground running when they go to Australia because I can promise you - these Australian fast bowlers will attack Rohit Sharma with that brand new ball," said Lee on his Youtube Channel.

Rohit’s form has been a huge concern for the Indian team in the recent series and failed to lay a marker in the Test series against New Zealand. During the three Test matches against the Kiwis, he scored 91 runs for India, raising question marks on his form.

The Indian team has been victorious in the last two visits to Australia and also won the Boxing Day Test in 2020. Rohit Sharma’s men will look to repeat the heroics as they look to keep their bid for the World Test Championship (WTC) final at Lord’s alive.
