Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each as India beat Sri Lanka by 304 runs in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series at the Galle International Stadium on Saturday.
Sri Lankan openerDimuth Karunaratne fell just three-run short of a century.
He was dismissed by an Ashwin delivery.
Sri Lanka collapsed for 245 in their second innings.
While Ashwin finished with a figure of three for 65, Jadeja got three wicketsfor 71.
Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav also took a wicket each.
Virat Kohli (103) struck his 17th century.
India will now play Sri Lanka in the second test beginning August 3.
