Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 explodes in user's pocket in Andhra Pradesh

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4 exploded in the pocket of a user in Andhra Pradesh causing him serious injuries.

Bhavana Suryakiran, a resident of Ravulapalem in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district, had bought the phone recently from Flipkart.

The company contacted the victim and launched an investigation into the incident.

“We take such matters seriously as customer safety is of utmost importance for Xiaomi. All of our devices go through stringent quality tests,” a Xiaomi spokesperson said.

Suryakiran has claimed compensation from Xiaomi. He also said that he will lodge a case against the company.
