The Sensex has been seeing a mini surge — it closed at a six-month high on Monday — since the announcment of the dates for the election results on Sunday.
The BSE Sensex climbed 481.56 points to close at 37, 535 on Tuesday.
The Nifty meanwhile climbed 133.15 points to close at 11,301.

New reports Tuesday said strong global cues and uninterrupted buying by foreign investors were helping prop up the surge.
And that a stronger rupee was contributing to the positive market sentiments.
