Rahul Gandhi, who has just returned from Norway is now heading foranother foreign visit.
This time the Congress vice-president will be visiting Silicon Valley in the United States to groom his Artificial Intelligence skills.
Party sources sayRahul Gandhi wants India to excel in Artificial Intelligence and added that he is going to the US to "expand his thoughts about artificial intelligence".
Artificial Intelligence, the science of creating intelligent machines that think like human brains, is still in its nascentphase in India. However many other countries including China have already invested in the field.
The Chinese government had long agorealised the importance of Artificial Intelligence for boosting its economy. The country has already devised plans to emerge as the world's premier AI innovation hub by 2030.
Despite the strict censorship in China, Google is striving to utilise the intelligent technology resource and engineering talentfrom China. The US tech giant is looking for AI experts from the country.
The growth of artificial intelligence in China has moved Google to establish its own AI research team in the country, which itindicated during itsMay AI summit held near Shanghai.
Google's search engine has been blocked in China since 2010, however, the company is making efforts to maintain a strong foot hold in the country.
Google recently entered into a partnership with the local government on the AI summit in the town of Wuzhen.
The US giant has also relaunched Google Translate mobile app in Chinese language. Recently Google initiated building artificialintelligence team in the country.
