China's three major telecom operators kick off 5G commercialisation

Chinaofficially started the commercialisation of5Gservices on Thursday, with the country's three major telecom operators rolling out their5Gdata plans, according to information released at PT ExpoChina2019.

Consumers can pay to access the superfast speed of5Gstarting from Friday.

The three telecom operators,ChinaMobile,ChinaUnicom andChinaTelecom, have already pushed5Gpreregistration with plentiful discounts and free5Gdata allowance and managed to attract interest from more than 10 million subscribers after they were granted commercial-use licenses for the superfast wireless technology in early June.
