World's first poop museum
The world's first museum devoted to exhibiting cute, colourful photogenic poops has attracted numerous visitors in Japan daily, said the company behind the exhibits, Akatsuki Inc on Wednesday.
At the "Unko (poop in Japanese) Museum" in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, visitors each get a pastel-coloured poop figurine and can take quirky photos with unko art pieces. There is even an interactive display where visitors shout "unko" in front of a microphone and see how big of a poop image they can generate on-screen.
Ayami Tashiro, public relations official for Akatsuki Inc., said the company decided on the poop theme of the exhibition to change the public's negative impression of the bodily function and they hope the experiences would entertain both the young and the old. More than 1000 people had visited the museum every day, she added.
The exhibition was opened on March 15 and will run until July 15. The entry is priced as 1600 yen ($14) for adults and 900 yen ($8) for children.
