Wear swastikas to watch play on Adolf Hitler for free: German theatre tells patrons

A theatre group in Germany will be proceeding with a satirical play on Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and has asked all its guests to wear swastikas to watch the play.

The southern Germany theatre group will stage a play about Hitler's youth wherein some patrons will sport swastika armbands.

The Konstanz Theatre's production will enact an adaption of George Tabori's world-renowned "Mein Kampf". The play will run for a month starting today, on the day of Hitler's 129th birth anniversary.

The play, named after Hitler's infamous anti-Semitic manifesto, tells a fictional story about Hitler's friendship with a Jewish man who puthim on his political path.

Patrons who will wear a swastika armband will be given free admittance to the play. The ones who will buy the tickets will be asked to wear a Jewish Star of David.

The experiment, according to theatre manager Christoph Nix, will bring to light and initiate a dialogue over issues like corruption and racism.
