The incident is been reported as the first "relay crime" to be caught on camera.
In a shocking video released by Britain's West Midlands Police, two men are seen stealing a Mercedes. The CCTV footage of the theft was released on West Midlands Police's official YouTube Channel on November 26 while the theft took place a couple of months back.
The suspects are seen using relay boxes that are capable of getting signals through doors, walls and windows, barring metal. The men were able to receive signals from the car's key inside the house and tricked the car's system into believing that it actually got the command from the key.
The incident is been reported as the first "relay crime" to be caught on camera. The suspects were able to drive away the Mercedes without really needing the key or breaking the lock in under a minute.The Mercedes has still not been recovered.
The video shows one man standing near car's rear door and the other one stationed right outside what looks like the garage door. Both men are seen carrying relay boxes with them to get the signal from the car key located inside the victim's house.
In a jiffy, they manage to unlock the car and drive off.
