Video posted on Elon Musk's Instagram account on Tuesday (July 10) morning showed rescuers wading through water in a Thai cave where four boys and their soccer coach still remain trapped in an ongoing rescue attempt.
The billionaire founder of SpaceX posted the footage taken at some point during the night (July 9-10) after delivering an experimental mini-submersible he said might be able to help in rescue efforts.
He captioned the post "just returned from Cave 3". Representatives for Musk could not be reached for comment.
Musk recently released a video of him testing the equipment he has designed to rescue the remaining members of the Thai cave football team.
The video, tweeted on Sunday, shows a group testing the device, which looked like a small submarine-like vessel, in a Los Angeles high school swimming pool.
The device is outfitted with oxygen ports and a nose cone to protect it from impact with rocks.
Musk says the sub would be light enough to be carried by two divers and small enough to get through narrow cave gaps.
