US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday said that Russia's war in Ukraine has been a "strategic failure in every way,"

Speaking alongside the Greek Foreign Minister in Athens, Blinken warned that allowing Russia's invasion of Ukraine to "go forward with impunity" would open up a "Pandora's box."

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Tuesday described President Vladimir Putin’s accusations that Russia had been threatened by the West as justification for invading Ukraine as "absurdity".

"Nobody is attacking Russia. There's a kind of absurdity in the notion that Russia was under some form of military threat from Ukraine or anyone else," Sullivan told reporters.

President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday announced that Moscow will be suspending its participation in the last remaining arms control treaty between the world's two main nuclear powers, Russia and the United States.

"I have to announce that Russia is suspending its participation in the New START treaty," Putin said in his state of the nation address. "No one should be under the illusion that global strategic parity can be violated."

Putin accused US of destroying the foundation of the world order and implemented number of wars around the world after collapse of  USSR saying that “they want to dominate the world order”.

“United States started changing the world order in their personal interest.”

Putin said that development will take place in annexed Ukrainian regions.

Putin alleged that West was waging economic war against Russia.

Putin said that 'traitors' in Russia should be brought to justice.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was an open country and Russians don't consider themselves superior to others. 

'But this civilization is ours," he said.

Putin claimed that Paedophilia has become a norm in the West.

Putin said that it was impossible to defeat Russia on the battlefield.

"We are using force to stop the Ukraine war," said Putin during the speech.

"West wants to change local conflict into global one," alleged Putin during his speech.

Putin said during his speech that the very existence of Russia was at stake.

"West is completely responsible for escalation in Ukraine war," said Putin.

Marriage is a union between man and wife, says Putin in his speech while speaking on the topic of same-sex marriage.

"Only US has large number of bases globally," Putin says in speech

Ukraine was waiting for Russia to come to its assistance, Putin claimed in his speech.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech is coming close on the heels of US President Joe Biden's surprise visit to Kyiv and his meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden's Ukraine visit is seen as reaffirmation of West's support to Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's motorcade is heading to Kremlin where he will deliver a speech.
