International trade secretary Kemi Badenoch may not take part in the leadership battle, according to The Telegraph. Badenoch was one of the contenders in the previous leadership race but she may opt out due to her “struggle to get the numbers”.

A new poll conducted by Opinium shows that 44 per cent of British adults would vote for Sunak, compared with 31 per cent for Johnson. When pitted against Mordaunt, Sunak still holds the lead with 45 per cent.
