United States President Donald Trump signed a Congressional resolution condemning white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, and other similar hate groups.
In a statement, Trump said he was "pleased to sign"the resolution.
"As Americans, we condemn the recent violence in Charlottesville and oppose hatred, bigotry, and racism in all forms," said Trump.
The US Congress unanimously passed a resolution "rejecting white nationalists, white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups" earlier this week.
Trump had to face heavy criticism after his equivocal stand on the August violence that erupted in Charlottesville after a white supremacist plowed his vehicle into a crowd ofcounter-protesters killing one during a rally byfar-right extremists.
