5 killed, 12 still missing as devastating landslide hits village in northwestern China

Landslide in China devastates a village near Longnan city, located in the northwestern Gansu province, resulting in the deaths of five people on Tuesday (July 7). Initially, at least 33 individuals were reported missing following the disaster. Rescue teams successfully located 21 trapped people, but five of them passed away despite receiving emergency medical care. Emergency workers are still actively searching to find the 12 individuals who remain missing.
