Trumps tweeted that those responsible for the explosion were 'in the sights of Scotland Yard'
British Prime Minister Theresa May has frowned upon US President Donald Trump's tweet on the explosion on a train in London that injured 22 people on Friday.
Asked to comment on President Trump's tweet that the culprits behind the explosion were in"in the sights of Scotland Yard," PM May said she did not think it was ever helpful for anyone to comment on an ongoing investigation.
"I never think it's helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation," Theresa May said.
The British PM added that the police and security services were doing all they could to identify those responsible for the "cowardly attack".
Trump later told the US press that he was going to call the Prime Minister right away.
"No, it's a terrible thing. It just keeps going and going. And, we have to be very smart. We have to be very, very tough, which, perhaps, we're not nearly tough enough. But that is just an absolutely terrible thing. In fact, I am going to call Prime Minister right now," the US President said.
At least 22 people were injured after a home-made bomb partially exploded on a packed commuter train heading into London, engulfing a carriage in flames.
