Russia's new missile 'Sarmat' can hit target anywhere in the world

The Russian military claims to have successfully tested its latest intercontinental ballistic missile, Sarmat.

With Sarmat, the country plans to replace its Soviet-designed 'Voyevoda'.

The missile was launched in the early stage of its flight.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had said earlier that Sarmat could hit a target anywhere in the world.

Sarmat has a higher range than 'Satan' and is equipped to carry a bigger number of nuclear warheads. It cannot be intercepted.

Sarmat weighs a whopping 200 metric tons and was successfully tested on Friday from Plesetsk, northwestern Russia.
