
USRepublican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance, while speaking with wellness expert Joe Rogan in his new podcast, vouched for vegetarian dishes over lab-made fake meat which he said was "disgusting".
In his shows, Rogan is known to discuss the harmful effects of processed meats. While speaking to Vance, Rogan called fake meat 'highly processed garbage' which creeps him out.
Adding his opinion on the lab-made meat, the Republican vice-presidential nominee said that his wife prepares tasty Indian dishes and said that all vegetarians should go for "paneer, rice and delicious chickpeas".
"My wife is Indian-American, and the vegetarian food she makes is exceptional," said Vance, on the podcast.
Vance, who has time and again appreciated Indian culture and food, spoke about how his wife Usha introduced him to different vegetarian dishes.
"For any vegetarian out there, indulge in paneer, rice, and chickpeas. Skip the nasty fake meat," he said.
Roganspeaking about the compromised quality of heavily processed plant-based meats, called them "highly processed garbage" and said that its consumption raised health concerns.

"If you want to embrace a vegetarian lifestyle, turn to Indian cuisine. It offers wonderful vegetarian options," he said.
Vance, who calls himself a “meat and potatoes guy from Ohio", recalled one of his early cooking efforts. "I took a can of crescent rolls, topped it with raw broccoli, drizzled ranch dressing, and baked it for 45 minutes," he added.
He said that the outcome was "disgusting". He said that earlier he also faced problems in understanding how vegetarian meals appear.
