Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered 1,500 to shift after the missile was launched by North Korea
Russia's President Vlamidir Putin has ordered almost 1,500 people to move away from the North Korean border where they are currently residing. He has instructed the civil defence officials to shift to safer areas in the country's far east, as quoted by The Daily Mail.
As Russia shares a 24-mile land border with North Korea, tensions have increased after the missile launch by North Korea over Japan last Tuesday.
The regional department of the Russian ministry has ordered for relocation.
According to a source, the relocation scheme is being exercised as part of the training.
Russian foreign ministry has warned North Korea that these practices could lead to an armed confrontation and can cause critical situations in the world.
After the latest missile launch, Sakhalin, Russia's largest island has disappeared from the country's online maps of IT company Yandex. The company said that it was due to some technical issues.
The missile launch has not charged the radiation in the border region, as announced by Officials in Vladivostok.
