Over 100 migrants rescued at sea and brought to Malta

Migrants

A group of 120 migrants were brought to Malta on Sunday after having been found drifting in a small boat off the Mediterranean island.

The Malta armed forces said the boat was spotted during a routine patrol by one of its patrol boats. The nationalities of the migrants were not immediately known.

Migrants crossing in small boats across the Mediterranean have increased since Italy and Malta closed their harbours for migrant rescue ships operated by voluntary organisations.
