Remembering 'Home Alone' actor John Heard

Hollywood actor John Heard who famously played Peter McCallister in the "Home Alone" series died in California's Palo Alto on Saturday. He was 71.

Heard was found dead in a hotel by the maid service, TMZ cited sources as saying.

The cause of his death is unclear at this time.

Heard was known for playing Peter McAllister, Kevin?s dad in the iconic ?Home Alone? series. Kevin was played by Macauley Culkin.

In the movie, Heard?s character forgets his son Kevin at home when making a business trip to France.

After ?Home Alone? became a big hit, Heard returned to star in ?Home Alone 2: Lost in New York?.

Heard was married and divorced three times. He was married to actress Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the Superman movies, for six days.

Heard and his second wife Sharon Heard have two children together, son Max and a daughter named Annika.

His son Max died in December 2016.

He has a son John with ex-girlfriend Melissa Leo.

C.H.U.D. is a 1984 American science fiction horror film produced by Andrew Bonime.

Heard plays the photographer George Cooper in the movie.

Heard was also known for his role in the 1992 American boxing film ?Gladiator?.

He also starred in movies including Cutter's Way, After Hours, Big and Awakenings.

He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1999 for guest starring in the television series "The Sopranos".
