North Korea vows response to 'reckless' US Navy move

India has been struggling to keep its tallest tricolour fluttering at 360 feet in Attari on the Indo-Pakistan border in Amritsar against high velocity winds.
The administration in Amritsarhas now decided to hoist the flag only after getting an expert opinion from the Home Ministry.
The tricolour, which is 120 x 80 feet wide and weighs a 100 kilograms, was hoisted on the Wagah border on March 5.
Since then its fabric has been replaced a few times. The wire supporting the flag pole also snapped a couple of times.
It was replaced four times in the past one month and had to be brought down again after it was damaged last week.
"Frequently bringing the flag down for repair or replacing the torn fabric is not appropriate. It hurts people's sentiments. So, we have written to the Home Ministry to form a committee of experts," Amritsar deputy commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha told DNA.
There are specific guidelines under the Flag Code of India, 2010, which need to be adhered to while hoisting the flag.
The flag cost more than 100,000Rs, officials told DNA.
