Israel's Attorney General has asked the police to delay issuing their recommendations into corruption allegations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
One of the two probes reportedly concerns Netanyahu improperly receiving lavish gifts from Hollywood and business figures while the other one concerns alleged secret talks with the publisher of a major Israeli newspaper.
According to reports, Netanyahu allegedly requested positive coverage in a free pro-Netanyahu daily.
An interim delay has been asked for until the Supreme Court hears a petition against Netanyahu. The police were supposed to present their findings this week.
The Israeli Prime Minister has denied all allegations and has dismissed the accusations calling them orchestrated by a hostile media.
