Tesla chief Elon Musk sipped whiskey and puffed weed during a podcast with comedian Joe Rogan but braced for some bad news as Tesla's chief accounting officer resigned after just a month on Friday.

Chief Accounting Officer Dave Morton's abruptresignation led Tesla's shares to crash nearly 9 per cent - the most in two years.
"Since I joined Tesla on August 6th, the level of public attention placed on the company, as well as the pace within the company, have exceeded my expectations. As a result, this caused me to reconsider my future," Morton was quoted as saying in a company filing.
"I want to be clear that I believe strongly in Tesla, its mission, and its future prospects, and I have no disagreements with Tesla’s leadership or its financial reporting," he added.
However, on Thursday, Musk was busy in his podcast as he opened up his mind and heart declaring that ideas came to him in"never-ending explosion".

"I don't think you would necessarily want to be me you wouldn't like it that much," Musk said, adding, "It might be great when it is turned on, but what if it doesn't turn off?"
During the chat with Rogan, Musk drank whiskey and tried a marijuana-and-tobacco cigarette. "I'm not a regular smoker of weed almost never," Musk said.
"I don't find that it's very good for productivity. It is sort of like a cup of coffee in reverse," the Tesla chief said, while joking about state of humanity," alot of people don't like humanity and think it is a blight, but I don't."
The two events - the podcast and Morton's resignation- had a rather negative effect on the stock exchange.
