Authorities in Bolivia arrested the ringleader behind a failed coup attempt, following the seizure of the presidential palace in La Paz by military personnel on Thursday (June 27).

Supreme Court spokeswoman Patricia McCabe accepted that a document was “inadvertently and briefly uploaded” to the court website but further stated that the ruling “has not been released.”

The US has accused Gupta of conspiring with an Indian official to hire a hitman, who turned out to be an undercover American federal agent. The US has claimed they have material that shows the staffer asked Gupta to plan the killing.

The eight men residing in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia were taken into custody earlier this month and charged with violating civil US immigration law by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
