
Montana US Presidential Election 2024:The United States votedfor the presidential elections on November 5.
The voting was held across the 50 states in the country and the Republican Party emerged victorious as President-elect Donald Trump defeated Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
Montana is located in theMountain Westsubregion of the WesternUnited States and shares borders with Idaho,North Dakota,South Dakota,Wyoming, and theCanadian provincesofSaskatchewan, Alberta andBritish Columbia.
The total population of Montana is approximately 1.1 million and around 77.5 per cent of the population is currently registered voters, which makes it more than 7,41,000.

In 1992, Bill Clinton was the last elected Democratic presidential nominee in Montana. After that, Montana has always remained in favour of Republican candidates and even made the bid of former US president Barack Obama in 2008 unsuccessful.

The House of Representatives elections were held in Montana on November 5 and two candidates were elected from each of the two USHouse districts of the state.

In the 2020 presidential elections, Donald Trump emerged winner in Montana with 343,602, defeating US President Joe Biden.

In the presidential elections, Trump won over Harris in Montana. In the Senate elections,Tim Sheehy(Republican) defeatedJon Tester(Democratic) by garnering 271,806 votes.
In the House of Representatives elections,Ryan Zinke (Republican) defeatedMonica Tranel (Democratic) in District 1 andTroy Downing (Republican) won over John Driscoll (Democratic) in District 2.
