Mass shooting in Tel Aviv: 6 killed, 9 wounded as two terrorists open fire in Jaffa; attackers neutralised

At least six people have been killed and nine others were injured in Jaffa, central Israel after a shooting incident, on Tuesday (Oct 1) evening, reported Times of Israel citing the police. Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) responded to the incident, which unfolded on Jerusalem Street in the city.
According to the police, a municipal security officer and armed Israeli civilians shot and “neutralised” the two terrorists.
Two terrorists, one of whom was seen armed with an assault rifle, carried out the shooting in Jaffa in south Tel Aviv, according to surveillance camera images.
According to the images, the terrorists were seen coming out of the Tel Aviv light rail. The duo had reportedly shot and stabbed people on the light rail before continuing on foot and attacking people on Jerusalem Street in the city.
One of the terrorists was seen opening fire at the body of a man on the ground.
Police say the shooting in Jaffa is a suspected terror attack.
Law enforcement officials said that the situation was “under control” and the families of the victims had been notified.
Tel Aviv district commander Haim Sargrof said thatthe two attackers who were killed were not Israeli citizens andthere were no other assailants at the scene.
"I saw a terrorist shoot a girl and another girl, then I saw the terrorist shoot a man on a bicycle. At that moment, a civilian arrived with a gun and shot the terrorist," said an eyewitness as per Haaretz report.
