Macron, Merkel to host Theresa May for Brexit talks on Tuesday

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron will host Britain Prime Minister Theresa May Tuesday, on the eve of a crucial EU summit when the British premier is hoping to convince the bloc to grant her a new Brexit extension to June 30.
Macron and May will are scheduled to meet at 6:00 pm on Tuesday. Then May will be travelling to Berlin to meet Merkel.
"The chancellor and the British prime minister will have an exchange of views on Britain's exit from the EU as well as on Wednesday's special summit of the European Council," said Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert.
Steffen Seibert also said that the final decisions for Brexit extensions will be made by all remaining 27 members of the European Union.
But there are "always good reasons in such difficult and highly charged situations in Britain and the EU 27 to first talk to each other before the first deadline," Seibert said.
