As Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump remained ahead on the course of becoming the next president of the United States, X owner and his staunch supporter Elon Musk posted an AI image of himself carrying a sink with the White House's Oval Office in the background.

This time, with Trump's projected victory, Musk took to X to share a re-creation of the image with the caption, "Let that sink in!"

Expressing his excitement at Trump's winning trajectory, Musk shared a series of posts on X.

"Game, set and match," Musk wrote in the first post. He then shared a photo of himself with Trump at the election night party.

The polls have closed in the 2024 presidential electionbattleground states and people are waiting with bated breath for the winner of the historic presidential election.

However, Trump is leading the race against Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Republicans have managed to take control of the Senate for the first time in four years after key victories in West Virginia, Ohio and Nebraska.

If Trump clinches victory, he will become the only president who has been impeached twice and the first former president to have been criminally convicted before winning the second non-consecutive tenure.
