Justin Trudeau summarizes India tour, calls it 'the trip to end all trips'
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's much-talked-about visit to India was under heavy media scrutiny for his choice of outfits, diplomatic fiascos and even images of his youngest son Hadrien Trudeau that went viral.
Speaking at this year’s Parliamentary Press Gallery Dinner on May 26, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau took a dig at himself and his government while discussing his India trip, which was the subject of severe criticism.
Trudeau recalled his trip to India using a slideshow as he addressed the annual dinner.
"We didn't go to India...I don't remember the India trip," Trudeau said as he compared his experience to that of a pain caused by "the ripping off of a band-aid."
The presentation started off with an upside-down map of India, then a photo of him being welcomed not by one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s famous airport hugs, but by the minister of state for agriculture Gajendra Shekhawat.

The slide-show also included the very famous photograph of his youngest son, Hadrien, “planking” at the Gandhi Memorial in Delhi, even as the rest of his family members were busy signing the guestbook.
"This was the point when he totally gave up on the trip," Trudeau commented in a hilariously candid confession.
After what he referred to as “the trip to end all trips, Trudeau quipped that he’s now told his team he’s “not going anywhere ever again”.
