Republican vice presidential candidate, Senator JD Vance, was apparently kicked out of a restaurant while his supporters waited inside for him to address them. In a video going viral on social media, Vance, who was in Pittsburgh, was denied entry to theiconic Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar where the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign recentlyhosted a gathering.
The Ohio senator was initially stopped at the doors Saturday (Sep 28) afternoon while attempting to make a campaign stop, a report in NY Post claimed. The staff of the shop said they were not given any advanced notice about his visit.
One of the restaurant patrons said customers paid for their drinks andcancelled their orders once learning that Vance was not allowed to step inside.
Despite beingdenied entry, Vance took the rejection graciously and addressed the crowd of supporters gathered outside the establishment.
"We paid for everybody’s food, we gave them a nice tip and, of course, when I gave a nice tip, I said no taxes on tips," Vance said, referring to a Trump proposal.
"It’s all right, don’t hold it against [the worker]. She just got a little nervous, but it’s a great local business. Let’s keep on supporting it."
