After Biden, Harris Israeli PM Netanyahu meets Trump at Florida resort ahead of 2024 US election

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited former United States President Donald Trump at the latter'sFlorida resort on Friday (Jul 26). Netanyahu posted the pictures and clipsof his meeting on X along with the caption, "Meeting with former US President Donald Trump."
The Israeli PM andthe Republican presidentialcandidatemet a day after Netanyahu met with Democratic President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who is running against Trump in the upcoming Novemberelections.
The former US president greeted Netanyahu and his wife Sara. He also criticisedHarris for her public comments regarding the impact of the Israel-Hamas war on Palestinian civilians. The Gaza waris currently in its ninth month.
"I think her remarks were disrespectful," Trump said.
This comes afterthe US VPpressed Netanyahu about the suffering of Palestinians during their meeting on Thursday, a discussion closely watched for indications of her potential policy changes if she becomes president.
"I made clear my serious concern about the dire humanitarian situation there," Harris said.
"I will not be silent. Israel has a right to defend itself. And how it does so matters," she asserted.
Trump downplayed any suggestion of tensionswith Netanyahu and said"We have a very good relationship".
The Republican presidential candidate's stance also highlightedthepolicy shifts during his tenure includingrelocating the Americanembassy to Jerusalem and withdrawing the US from the international nuclear agreement with Iran.
Netanyahu adjusted his US travel scheduleto meet with Trump and reachedPalm Beach early Friday.
