Islamic State group claims responsibility for London attack

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack on the London underground train that injured 29 people.

"The bombing on a metro inLondonwas carried out by a detachment of the Islamic State" group, a statement published by its Amaq propaganda agency stated.

Prime Minister Theresa May raised the national terror threat to 'critical', indicating that another attack could happen.

On Fridaymorning, a home-made bomb partially exploded on a packed commuter train heading into London leaving several injured. The incident took place at8:20 am(0720 GMT).

This incident was Britain's fifth terrorism-related incident of the year, said the police.
