
Illinois US Presidential Election 2024: Illinois, also called "the Prairie State", is a midwestern state bordering Indiana in the east and the Mississippi River in the west. Illinois will vote on the US presidential election on November 5.
It is a strongly blue state in the Great Lakes region, anchored by Chicago. It has been known for being the most liberal state in the Great Lakes region.
Voters can either opt for early voting as per their convenience or can vote on the election day. They can also fill out mail-in ballots at home to elect the next US president.
In the case of early voting, the locations may be different from where you vote on election day. You can refer to Illinois's site to find where to vote early.

What's on the ballot?
Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are on the ballot.
Donald Trump and JD Vance are on the ballot under the Republican Party.
Robert F. Kennedy and Nicole Shanahan are on the ballot as Independents.
October 8: Last day for regular voter registration or transfer of registration
October 20: End of voter registration online
October 21: Early voting begins in all 50 wards of Chicago
November 4: Final day of early voting
In 2020 presidential elections, Illinois voted for Joe Biden by a 17-point margin. Biden from Democratic Party secured 57.5 per cent votes while Donald Trump from Republican Party got 40.6 per cent.
