
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday (Apr 12) claimed to have struck several buildings used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon's Ayta ash-Shab, The Times Of Israel reported. It added that the operatives were gathered there.
Israel also said that it hit another building belonging to the terror group in Taybeh. IDF further added that Hezbollah fired several projectiles from Lebanon at the Upper Galilee on Friday but no injuries were caused.
The IDF says it also shelled the launch sites.

In a post on social media platform X, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said, "We have been at war for the past six months, and have faced all types of threat elements that exist. Our defence is prepared and knows how to deal with each threat individually. Along with defence, we are also ready to attack with a variety of capabilities and know how to act in order to protect the citizens of the State of Israel."
Hagari also confirmed that the Chief of Staff's assessment of the situation was completed together with the commander of the Central Command of the United States Army.
Commander, General Michael Erik Kurilla, completed a comprehensive situational assessment with IDF officials on the IDF’s readiness for defensive and offensive operations in all scenarios.

"The IDF continues to monitor closely what is happening in Iran and different arenas, constantly preparing to deal with existing and potential threats in coordination with the United States Armed Forces," LTG Herzi Halevi said.
The IDF spokesperson mentioned that Israel has been conducting a joint assessment of the situation in order to make sure that the coordination between us is close.
"It is true to say that the coming days require us to be alert and prepared. I know this situation raises many questions, so we will update you regularly. All the instructions for conduct during a warning or emergency situation are detailed on the Home Front Command website," he added.
The spokesperson mentioned that Iran's behaviour throughout the war escalated the situation in West Asia and undermined security stability. "We will know how to act wherever we are required," he said.
