Donald Trump, in his latest crazy move, is all set to fire over 1,200 people from various spy agencies in the US, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and others. The White House is all set to cut the staffing at the CIA, while other agencies are also likely to lose thousands of personnel, the Washington Post reported.

The report further claimed that the Trump administration has notified the members of Congress the job cutting will be done in parts and for several years. To achieve this goal, the administration will reduce the hiring.

When the agency was asked about teh latest cut in the job, CIA issued a statemet saying its director  John Ratcliffe was working to align the agency with Donald Trump’s national security priorities. 

“These moves are part of a holistic strategy to infuse the agency with renewed energy, provide opportunities for rising leaders to emerge, and better position CIA to deliver on its mission,” CIA's statement read.

The office of the  Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard - that oversees and coordinates the work of 18 agencies that collect and analyse intelligence - did not respond on the report. 

Earlier this year, the CIA became the first US intelligence agency to join a voluntary redundancy program initiated by Donald Trump. The US president has vowed to radically downsize the federal workforce in the name of efficiency and frugality.
