Google Doodle celebrates Earth Day in partnership with ethologist and conservationist Dr Jane Goodall

Google Doodle is celebrating Earth Day on Sunday as they put up a video of renowned ethologist and conservationist Dr Jane Goodall who delivered a message of hope and planet's future.

The Google doodle is created in partnership with The Goodall Institute and was aimed at bringing personal stories of Goodall's childhood to directly connect with viewers.

In an official statement of Google doodle's site, Goodall said ''It is so important in the world today that we feel hopeful and do our part to protect life on Earth. I am hopeful that this Earth Day Google Doodle will live as a reminder for people across the globe that there is still so much in the world worth fighting for...With all of us working together, I am hopeful that it is not too late to turn things around, if we all do our part for this beautiful planet.”

In a video produced for Earth day doodle, Goodall is talking about the importance for every individual to come forward  work together for envournment

She says, ''every single individual matters, every single individual makes some impact on the planet every single day, and we have a choice as to what kind of difference we’re going to make”.

Goodall also says that she thinks she was born loving animals, and that her whole childhood was ''animals, animals, animals.” It was her passion for animals that led Goodall to Gombe, Tanzania where she began studying chimpanzees.

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22 of every year across the world. It was first celebrated in 1970 and was first proposed by peace activist John McConnel to honour Earth and the concept of peace in 1969.

However, a separate Earth Day was founded by the United States Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in first held on April 22, 1970.
