Amid reports of allegations of rape and sexual misconduct against actor Danny Masterson, Netflix has now decided to let go of actor from its hit series "The Ranch".

The actor is currently under investigation by theLos Angeles Police Department on multiple allegations of rape and other sexual misconduct which led to Netflix's decision.

Although news regarding sexual misconduct came to fore several weeks ago, the streaming giant chose to ignore the same. It has now buckled down to firing the actor from the series' future production.

In a statement Tuesday,a Netflix spokesperson said,"As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of 'The Ranch'" before adding, "Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him."

Masterson has been accused of rape by four women.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney and Los Angeles Police Department are currently investigating allegations against Masterson.

Part four of "The Ranch" is set to premiere on Netflix as scheduled on December 15, with additional episodes slated to premiere some time in 2018.

Netflix has divided the series into 10-episode batches, each of which is part of a longer season. Masterson is not expected to appear in any episodes released after the said date. It is also uncertain whether Masterson's executive producer credit on the series will continue to roll or not.
