Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' will open on August 9, 2019, which is the 50th anniversary of the Manson-LaBianca murders and the day after Tate was killed at the hands of Charles Manson’s followers.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt have come together for Quentin Tarantino’s next film titled “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” that poses to be a star-studded drama and will bring the Charles Manson’s cult followers deadly spree of killing people to a film. DiCaprio plays former TV star Rick Dalton, while Pitt portrays Cliff Booth, Dalton’s close friend and longtime stunt double, both of whom are struggling to make it in Hollywood. These two played a crucial role in the investigation of the killings considering that Sharon Tate was Dalton’s neighbour. The actress Sharon Tate will be played by Margot Robbie in the film.
Meanwhile, Al Pacino will be seen playing Dalton’s agent. The ensemble cast also includes Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins, Keith Jefferson, and Nicholas Hammond.
The director, when spoken to about the film described it as a film taking place in “Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippie Hollywood.”
The film will be released by Sony as David Heyman and Shannon McIintosh will be producing.
