Kylie Jenner welcomes baby girl, apologises to fans for hiding pregnancy

Months of secrecy and endless rumours can now be put to rest as Kylie Jenner, makeup queen and social media influencer now reveals she is a mother to a baby girl on February 5.

Announcing the happy news, Kylie took to her Instagram account to share the development with her fans and to also apologisefor "keeping (them) in the dark" about her pregnancy."

In her post, she wrote:“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world.”

She stressed on the need for being focused on providing proper care to the baby and wrote:“I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress-free, and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”

In the end, she thanked her fans for supporting her and remembering her at the time when she kept herself away from social media.

The reality star revealed giving birth to a baby girl weighing in at 8 lbs., 9 oz. on February 1. Her daughter was born at4:43 p.m. local time in the United States.

The new arrival is the first child for Jenner and boyfriend Travis Scott.

The star also shared alengthy montage of videos from her pregnancy, including a quick shot of her and the baby in the delivery room after her arrival.
