Toppling Gisele's position for the first time in 15 years, Kendall's rise to no.1 spot reflects on the growing power of social media influencers who are adding big digits to their income by endorsements and brand building via their social profiles.
The 22-year-old model, Kendall has a massive following of 84 millionon her Instagram profile that helped launch her ownclothing line and win deals with the likes of Adidas and Estee Lauder, Forbes said.
Gisele fell down to a no.2 position with an estimated$17.5 million.
Chrissy Teigen joined the Forbes list for the first time, taking the no.3 spot with estimated earnings of $13.5 million.
A model and wife of singer John Legend, she earned through her deals with brands like Smirnoff via her Instagram and Twitter profile.
Ashley Graham also made it to the list-- a first for aplus-size woman to make the annual Forbes list of top-earning models. Sheranked in 10th place with an estimated income of $5.5 million.
According to Forbes, the world’s 10 highest-paid models banked a cumulative $109.5 million for the year, before taxes and fees. It estimated earnings from income from cosmetics, fragrance and other contracts based on interviews with managers, agents and brand executives.
