Jake Gyllenhaal might replace Ben Affleck as Batman

Actor Ben Affleck who starred asBatman in DC’s Extended Universe is soon to be replaced by "Brokeback Mountain"actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the next Batman movie if media reports are to be believed.

According to a report published in Express.co.uk, a film critic on his YouTube show revealed that director Matt Reeves has found a replacement actor for essaying the role of Batman. On his show, he also shared that a Hollywood producer validated the news of a replacement.

Adding to the rumour, the current Batman star Ben Affleck also hinted at quitting the franchise. As reported by ANI,Affleck said, "You don't do it forever so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it." Affleck was initially in line to direct The Batman, before deciding to step down in order to focus on his performance."

According to the report,Ben Affleck is stepping down because of his widely criticised performance in Justice League.

It's still to be seen whether the rumours turn out to be true.
