Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac join the cast of 'The Addams Family' movie

For all theAddams Family fans, here’s news that Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has been cast to head the creepiest screen family along with Oscar Isaac. While Charlize will play Morticia Addams, Oscar will be her husband Gomez for the upcoming animated film The Addams Family, MGM announced on Tuesday.
The rest of the family will be played by Chloë Grace Moretz voicing the sinister Wednesday Addams, Finn Wolfhard as menacing Pugsley Addams, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Grandmama and Oscar-winner Allison Janney as the family’s arch nemesis Margaux Needler. Needler who is a reality TV makeover queen is consumed with a desire for absolute suburban, pastel perfection in the film.
Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan will direct the origin story, which will show how Morticia and Gomez met, started their family and brought their creepy mansion. In a statement, Vermon said, “Greg and I have always been a fan of the Addams Family in past versions, so when we set out to make this movie, we were excited to do something new. With that in mind, I drew from the brilliantly original Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons for the look of the film and decided to tell the story of how Gomez and Morticia meet, find their house and start their family. This unique approach is what drew me in to direct the film. The reimagining also extends to the stellar cast we’ve put together who will each bring their own spin to our film that will appeal to longtime fans of the Addams and introduce them to a new generation.”
The Addams Family will be released on October 11, 2019.
