SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is in talks with an Israel-based Artificial Intelligence vision firm over prospective investment or acquisition project. Musk, on his visit to Israel, discussed a collaboration between Tesla Inc and Tel Aviv-based AI firm Cortica.
According to reports, Cortica's technology equips self-driving cars with an ability to identify moving parts in its environment and make informed decisions.
This is not the first time when Musk-led Tesla has collaborated with an Israeli company. The company joined hands with Mobileye and parted ways in 2016 owing to a fatal crash involving a Tesla Model S.
Mobileye was acquired by Intel last year for $15.3 billion.
