Celebs chose to opt for a venue/theme-based wedding that differentiated each high-profile ceremonyfrom one another. While most chose a lighter palette for decor and their ensemble, almost all preferred an au naturel look of the venue.

Tennis star Serena Williams married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian on November 16in a Beauty and the Beast-themed ceremony at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. The guests weregreeted to the wedding ceremony with the song "Be Our Guest"from the Disney film while Serena's elder sister Venus was the bridesmaid.

Serena changed into three outfits on her D-Day from a princess gown with cape to feathered dress with sneakers and then finally changed into another short dress ensemble with a skirt.

The couple personalised the entire wedding and wrote their own vows too. Alexis even surprised Serena with a carousel while romantic music played.

The couple held all functions of haldi, mehendi, shadi but with a western twist. They got married surrounded by greenery, under the natural light in an open-air resort.

Anushka even kept her makeup to a bare minimum and chose light pink for the D-Day with matching jewellery. While walking towards the garland ceremony, she walks over the Italian cobbled pavement to reach her groom.

The guests were open to enjoy natural swimming pools, solar panels that provided electricity and hot water and other services well within the resort.
