Donald Trump to work in McDonald's, likely to try his hands on fry cooking

Taking his presidential election campaign to the next level, United States former president Donald Trump is set to get behind the cooking counter of the famous fast food restaurant McDonald's and work the fry cooker in Pennsylvania this weekend, as per media reports.

This step taken by the Republican presidential nominee is being seen as an attempt to question the past employment history of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who has claimed to have worked at a fast food restaurant in the earlier stage of her life.

As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Trump is set to serve some fast food at the Golden Arches during the campaign stop in the important swing state on Sunday (October 20).

Trump questions the employment history of Harris

Trump has continuously questioned Harris' claim that she worked at McDonald’s.

“We don’t want to hear fake promises, even something like she worked very long and hard hours over french fries at McDonalds. She never worked at McDonald’s. It’s a fake story," Trump said in North Carolina.

The 59-year-old Harris has time and again talked about working at McDonald's during her college days in the 1980s

Speaking about it, Harris said, "Part of the reason I even talk about having worked at McDonald’s is because there are people who work at McDonald’s in our country who are trying to raise a family and pay rent on that."

"And I think part of the difference between me and my opponent includes our perspective on the needs of the American people, and what our responsibility then is to meet those needs. But it was not a small job, like, I did the fries. I mean, you know, I did," she added.

However, Trump said McDonald's is not part of Kamala's resume and has accused her of lying multiple times.

"Kamala never had a job at McDonald's. Her resume talks about McDonald's, McDonald's, McDonald's," said Trump, at a New York press conference.

Speaking at an October 10 rally in Reno, Nevada, he said, "Do you know what I am doing next week? I am going to a McDonald's to work! I think I’m going to a McDonald’s in two weeks actually and I’m gonna work the french fries because I will have worked longer and harder at McDonald’s than she did if I do that even for a half-hour."
