Disturbing: Human remains found in suitcases in UK, cops release image of suspect

A disturbing case has emerged from the United Kingdom (UK). TheMetropolitan Police (Met)said on Friday (July 12) that human remains found in a pair of suitcases near Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol were believed to be those of two men.

The police released the image of the suspectwanted in connection with the discovery. The suspect, a man, was witnesseddumping the suitcases on the bridge before fleeing on foot on Wednesday night.

Scotland Yard probing case

Citing law enforcement agencies, a report by The Guardian said that the suspecttravelled to Bristol from London earlier on Wednesday.Scotland Yard has taken over the investigation of the case.A crime scene is in place in Shepherd’s Bush in west London as the hunt for the suspect continued, the report said.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine, who is leading the investigation for the Met, said, "We are drawing on resources from across the Met to find and apprehend the suspect and I would urge anyone who believes they see him, or who knows of his whereabouts, to call 999 straight away. Do not approach him."

“Extra officers will be on patrol in the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to them,” Valentine added.

A description of the suspect

The police described the suspect as bearded, The Guardian report further said. He was wearing a black Adidas baseball cap with a white motif, black jeans, a black jacket with a motif on the chest, and black trainers with thick white soles.

The man was alsobelieved to have been wearing a gold earring and was carrying a black backpack.

The police were called to theClifton Suspension Bridge at 11:57 pm (local time) on Wednesday. The police arrived quite quickly but the suspect was nowhere to be found. The man left one suitcase behind, and the second suitcase was found nearby.

Both the suitcases contained human remains. The victims have not been identified but both were believed to be adult males.
