Coronavirus: Indonesia reports 847 new cases taking the toll to 32,033

Indonesia has reported 847 new cases of the novel coronavirus taking the total tally to 32,033. The country has also recorded 32 new deaths bringing the total death toll to 1,883, as per their health ministry said on Monday.

Coronavirus has infected over 7 million people globally, as per data from the Johns Hopkins University. Currently, 7,006,436 people have had the virus, while 402,699 people have lost their lives to the pandemic, which went global six months ago.
The five worst-affected countries according to JHU tracker are US (1,940,468), Brazil (691,758), Russia (467,073), United Kingdom (287,621), followed by India (257,486).
Spain and Italy, the former hotspots of the virus are witnessing a dip in the infections and were overtaken by India on Sunday. Other countries with over 100,000 cases include Peru, France, Germany, Iran, Turkey, Chile, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.
