Chinese students maintaining one hat's distance after schools reopen

Students in China are maintaining one hat's difference in order to follow social distancing norms after schools re-opened in the country.

Elementary school kids were spotteddonning creative headgear andclassroomspassed off as amusement parks in post-pandemic China.

Students in Hangzhou, a city in theChinese province Zhejiang, returned to their tiny desks after a three-month-long breakalong with their bags,water bottles andtheir one-meter-hats!

What is even more surprising was that this was their do-it-yourself project during the lockdown.

According to the instructions given to the students, they were asked to wear homemade headgear that will keep them at a distance three-feet apart from other students.

So, the children channelised their inner creativity and made innovative headgears from materials such as ballons, cardboards to obey these commands.

The inspiration to makethe one-metre hat may have come from the Song dynasty.

Chinese emperor Taizu designed similar headgears to keep officials from whispering during assemblies.

However, it is noteworthy that children who already possess short attention spans are bound to be distracted by such headgears.
